St. Augustine

St. Augustine

Our plan was to make the short two hour cruise north on the ICW to St. Augustine. In order to arrive during slack tide, we prepared to leave by 11am. This gave us some time to visit the beach one more time and also to shop at the Sunday farmer’s market that was set up next door to the Marina.

Weekends are crazy on the water, and we saw all sorts of watercraft and shenanigans. We kept our course steady as the PWCs and ski boats flew by us.

St. Augustine is definitely the most touristy place we have been so far. The Marina is right next to the Bridge of Lions, and across the street from all the tourist attractions. So it is a good location to find things to see and do.

We met some more loopers. There is a 31 foot Ranger Tug one slip down that is also headed to the same area we are headed.

We had dinner at a pizza by the slice place, and then took advantage of the cooler evening temperatures to walk to some of the iconic sights.
