Because of the low tide we had to wait until 10am to depart. Even with this delay the water had only just started to rise from low tide, so it was interesting to see how shallow the entry to the harbor really was. Also interesting was the number of derelict boats that were out of the water.

We saw more alligators today than all other days combined. In one place we saw seven or eight gators all in the same area.  We followed a couple of them that were swimming right down the middle of the ICW.

We also had our first rain shower while underway. We had to close the vents and endure the heat for a while, but that was about it. There was a much bigger rainstorm that we saw to the east of us that never caused us any trouble.

We stayed at Harborwalk marina. It is nice with modern floating docks. There were a few gators in the water around the marina and the riverfront, so we made sure our transom door stayed closed.

Georgetown is apparently the third oldest town in South Carolina. We had fun walking along the riverfront, getting ice cream, and visiting the local maritime museum. We walked around the nearby neighborhood and took pictures.
