Phase Three
It has been a while since we left the boat, but we have taken care of all the interruptions and we are really looking forward to getting back into the trip. We are picking it back up where we left off in Wilmington, NC. This is what we are calling phase three. In this phase we plan to explore the Chesapeake Bay. Our path will be somewhat circular as we intend to return to the south at the end so we can move the boat to the warmer climate for the winter.
Before we get to the Chesapeake we have a couple weeks of exploring the North Carolina coastline on our way to Norfolk, VA. We hope to do more grilling, experiment with anchoring out, maybe do some fishing, and we also want to try out the inflatable dinghy. I have some engine maintenance that needs to be completed before too long, so we will get to that as well. I have work to attend to during this phase, so we will be spending more time at each location.
This phase is going to be longer than the first two phases, and will end when we are ready to move the boat south for the winter months. It should be a lot of fun!
The first order of business was to backtrack a bit and revisit Southport.

We love your adventurous spirit and freedom to explore our beautiful country, we wish you God speed and blessings. Am sending your blog to John and Kevin for I know they will be interested. We have a vacation plan with Wyndham and spend a lot of time along the east coast resorts. Be sure to explore at National Harbor on the Potomac. We have spent several vacations there, in spring went to the new Bible museum in Washington. We will follow your blog. Anna Lee and Troy Long
