Baltimore
We chose Baltimore as the location for our next storage location as we needed to leave the boat so I could go on a business trip. The reason we chose Baltimore was that it offered low cost dockage and good transportation. Also, we had never been to Baltimore, so it was fun discover the town.
The marina we stayed at was Anchorage Marina. It is located near Fells Point. They gave us a monthly rate and a safe location. We were able to walk to many of the downtown sights without much trouble.
We rode the water taxi out to Ft. McHenry and toured the National Monument. This is the place where Francis Scott Key wrote the National Anthem while the fort was attacked by British warships.
Before we left the boat we walked to Camden Yards to see the Orioles play Boston. It was our first time at Camden and we enjoyed it a lot. We had a recommendation from a friend to try Boog’s Barbecue, and it was really good.
There is a Safeway grocery store right across from the marina, and a West Marine just around the corner. So before we departed we replenished our supplies and got a couple more fenders in anticipation of the NY locks.
