Fenelon Falls

Fenelon Falls

We made the fairly short trip from Bobcaygeon to Fenelon Falls in about three hours. The weather was beautiful once again, and the route was full of awesomeness. Once again it was a very pleasant trip.

Once through the lock we were able to get a spot on the wall that had electricity and water connections. This was good as it was a warm day and we were able to run the air conditioning during the hot part of the day.

Nightfall, and a cool sign

There was one task that I have been needing to do. The built-in Garmin chartplotter in the boat did not have the Canada map data loaded. This has not been a problem up to now because I use Navionics on the iPad for primary navigation, and the route through Canada has been mostly canals and well marked routes. It was annoying me that the map data wasn’t showing up because I spent several hours on my high speed internet connection at home downloading and installing the map card so I could have it on the boat. What. I didn’t realize at the time was that I installed the US map on the card instead of Canada. It took a lot of hours of downloading but finally I have a map card with Canada map data.
