USA here we come! We had great weather once again so we decided to take the shortest route, which took us across the wide part of the north channel. The travel day was awesome.

We arrived at De Tour Village around 2pm and immediately I began the process of contacting US customs. Since we are both trusted travels with global entry, I didn’t expect much trouble. They have a new app that lets you complete the process without leaving the boat. It asks a few questions and then an agent invites you to a videoconference. It was all pretty easy.

De Tour was nice. I found out later that my aunt has a cottage in this town, and we probably walked right past it. We took a walk through town, got some groceries, and then grilled burgers on the boat. There was a concert by a local rock band going on at the park next to the marina until 10pm. That kept us from falling asleep too early. It was great to feel like we were almost home!
